  • We recognize that when children with and without disabilities learn and play together, they learn skills that bring out their very best qualities.

  • We walk the walk, with businesses boasting a workforce where nearly 40% of employees have a documented disability, and where we consistently score high rates for efficiency, employee retention, service and product quality, and customer satisfaction.​

​Northwest Center Kids

We work with children from birth to age 12 in the Puget Sound area.

  • Hospital-to-Home supports positive social-emotional, developmental, and medical outcomes for babies in the critical time when babies transition home from a hospital stay.
  • Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) is a family-centered program for children with developmental delays. We work in the home with parents and caregivers to evaluate and develop functional goals.
  • At two Early Learning centers, children 6 weeks through 12 years with and without disabilities learn and play side by side, learning valuable lessons from each other.
  • Since 2018, our IMPACT program has worked to bring inclusive early learning to thousands of children at other schools across King County.

​Northwest Center Employment Services

We work with adults with disabilities in Washington state and Idaho.

  • We help students graduating from high school to find meaningful work by assessing career interests, providing hands-on training, and supporting them to join the working world with confidence.
  • We place candidates in employment as meaningful to them as it is beneficial to their employers, taking the time to uncover our clients’ passions, develop their skills, and provide on-the-job support for as long as necessary.

Hand-in-hand with our mission of disability inclusion is our investment in equity across diverse racial, cultural, and identity backgrounds and statuses. Our culture of inclusion includes leading equity advancements and policy change so that people of all backgrounds and abilities are respected and valued within our organization, creating a company where all feel safe and valued.

In response to our equitable hiring efforts, Northwest Center was honored with the Diversity Spirit Achievement Award at the 20th annual Diversity Employment Day Career Fair & Roundtables in Seattle.
